A NEW GENERATION POST-EMERGENCE SYSTEMIC HERBICIDE FOR THE CONTROL OF A VERY BROAD SPECTRUM OF GRASS AND BROADLEAF WEEDS IN WHEAT CROPS
Active substance: 45 g/l pyroxsulam + 90 g/l antidote (cloquintocet-mexil)
Chemical class: triazolpyrimidine
Preparative form: dispersible oil (OD)
Packaging: 5 l
Mechanism of action
Pallas 45 OD is a post-emergent, selective herbicide for wheat, acting on both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
It is a systemic herbicide that acts foliar, but can also provide short-term residual control in the soil of newly emerged weeds, depending on species and environmental conditions.
The product inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), translocates systemically through the plant, inhibiting synthesis of key plant amino acids, subsequently inhibiting cell division leading to death of susceptible species.
Weed growth is stopped immediately after application. The first visible symptoms (leaf discoloration and twisting) are observed 3-4 days after herbicide application. Complete control is achieved within 2-3 weeks after application, depending on the type of weed and climatic conditions.
PallasTM 45 OD can be applied from the 2-3 leaf stage to the formation of the second node of the crop. For best results, it is recommended to herbicide when weeds are actively growing.
Control is influenced by the stage of development of the weed, with young growth stages being easier to control.
Optimum control for grasses is: up to 3 siblings for Apera spica-venti and up to twinning for Avena fatua, Bromus spp. and for dicotyledonous weeds at 2-6 leaves.
