A POSTEMERGENCE HERBICIDE FOR USE IN SPRING IN AUTUMN OILSEED RAPE TO CONTROL A BROAD SPECTRUM OF DICOTYLEDONOUS WEEDS.

Active ingredient: 5 g/l halauxifen-methyl (ArylexTM active) + 120 g/l clopyralid

Chemical class: picolinated aliphatic + pyridinecarboxylic acids

Preparative Form: Emulsifiable concentrate

Packaging: 5 l

Method of application

  • Slash™ herbicide contains two active substances, halauxifen-methyl (Arylex™ active) and clopyralid, both belonging to the synthetic auxin family.
  • The active substance halauxifen-methyl (Arylex™ active) is absorbed by susceptible weeds through the leaves and is rapidly translocated through the vascular system to the weed growth points where it accumulates.
  • Halauxifen-methyl (Arylex™ active) molecules are rapidly absorbed by plant cells, where the herbicide mimics natural hormones by binding to specific auxin receptors in the nucleus and triggers loss of normal growth function. Within hours to days of application, visual symptoms appear and continue to develop, leading to the death of susceptible weeds within weeks.
  • Clopyralid acts as a plant growth regulator, is absorbed at root and leaf level, replaces natural auxins and causes disruption of normal growth and development of target weeds. Depending on the weed species, visual symptoms will appear within a few days to several weeks after treatment.
  • Slash™ herbicide is applied in the spring from the beginning of stem elongation (rosette) of the oilseed rape crop (BBCH-30) until flower buds are present but still covered by leaves (BBCH-50).
  • It can be used on all varieties of autumn oilseed rape (conventional and Clearfield®) to control broadleaf weed species.
  • Maximum number of applications: one application per crop/season.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION QUANTITY: 200-300 litres/ha.

CAUTION: Do not apply in autumn!!!

Restrictions

  • Do not treat crops under environmental or agronomic conditions unfavorable to plant growth such as frost, drought, excess soil water, nutrient deficiency, disease and/or pests.
  • Occasionally, application of Slash™ herbicide may induce mild, transient (2-3 weeks) crop inhibition. This has no impact on crop yield and quality.
  • Slash™ herbicide can be used on all soil types.

Post emergent crops

- In normal rotation, all crops can be safely planted after the application of Slash™ herbicide in the spring to the autumn oilseed rape crop.

Crop damaged

- In the case of a damaged crop, after spring application of Slash™ herbicide, all crops can be safely established except potato and sunflower.
